Agnes Nanduja hails from a small village in Eastern Uganda. After dropping out of school all in Senior 3, her aunt supported her to join a nearby vocational training institute where she studied basics of bricklaying. Bricklaying being dominated by men, she felt she could not cope up and opted to get married. She had been married until she got in touch with UDBP where she was trained as a biogas mason. She now constructs at least 3 digesters per month and earns from them 400,000 Ug shs (EU 90) monthly.
